International banking services of BNBL are provided / delivered for the benefit of all of its customers, through its branches and through a wide network of BNBL’s correspondent banks around the globe. The main services, inter alia, are as mentioned below:
- Buying and selling of major foreign currency notes and TCs over the counter at branches. Personal USD cheques payable in the USA and GBP/EUR cheques are also accepted for collection.
- Trade Finance: Issuance, advice, negotiation of Indian Rupee and foreign currency Letters of Credit and Guarantees, collection of clean and documentary credits, Export Bill discounting, Import financing, etc.
- Fund Remittance facilities by Cheques / Drafts / TT: BNB has the facilities to remit/receive foreign exchange from and to any part of the world on behalf of its customers.
- Acquiring/acceptance of VISA Credit Card for purchase of goods from the Bhutanese merchants and for hotel bill payments.
- BNBL is delighted to announce for the first time in Bhutan the introduction of the Gold Visa International Credit Card in collaboration with the Standard Chartered Bank, India.
